From scattered AI use to a clearer way forward.

Kandor’s founder describes a familiar starting point: different people using different tools, without a shared view of where information was going.

The starting point

In Vincent’s account, staff were using a range of AI tools in different ways, and important data was being uploaded in ways he considered potentially risky. The first need was visibility: understanding what was happening before deciding how to bring it under control.

What the work involved

  • Developing a clearer picture of AI use across the team.
  • Putting policy and governance in place to establish more consistent boundaries.
  • Following up on tools that could help the business operate more efficiently.

“Honestly, we weren't good to go. The team were using different AI tools, in different ways, and important data was being uploaded in ways that were probably a little risky. We worked with Good To Go to get a clear picture of the situation, develop some policy and governance that meant we could rein it in, and then did some follow-up work on tools that could help us run more efficiently as a business which has, in my estimation, saved us around 10% on our costs in just 3 months. Loved how easy it was, how simple the language was, and how it made us all feel like experts instead of amateurs by the end of it!”

What another business can take from this

Visibility, governance and efficiency are connected, but they are different pieces of work. Establish what is happening, put appropriate boundaries in place, then assess where better tools and workflows can create value.

That is why our first step is usually the Good to Go Review, with Governance and Good to Grow available for the relevant follow-up.
