Know where you stand.
An AI readiness review for UK SMEs whose people are already using AI—and whose leaders want a clear picture before deciding what to do next.
What are we looking for?
AI readiness is about everyday work: who is using which tools, what information they share, how outputs influence decisions and who checks the result. A subscription list alone will not answer those questions.
We examine significant use cases across data and privacy, security, accuracy, human oversight, intellectual property, fairness, regulatory exposure and supplier risk. We also look for avoidable rework and poor tool choices worth investigating.
How the Review works
- 1. Agree the scope. Confirm teams, tools, stakeholders, the internal contact and the information we need.
- 2. Discover actual use. Use a staff survey and key stakeholder interviews to understand tasks, data and existing safeguards.
- 3. Assess and prioritise. Classify use cases as GO, CAUTION, REVIEW or STOP and identify important gaps.
- 4. Brief leadership. Explain the findings, immediate safeguards and a sequenced action plan with recommended ownership.
What you receive
- An AI Use Register covering the agreed scope.
- A prioritised AI Risk & Opportunity Register, including gaps and suggested safeguards.
- A leadership briefing and clear action plan: what to address first, what can continue and what needs further work.
What happens afterwards?
You can use the findings internally, ask us to help implement governance, or investigate efficiency opportunities through Good to Grow. The Review does not commit you to another programme.
It does not include full policy implementation, company-wide training, software deployment or a completed readiness sign-off. Those require the relevant controls to be put in place and checked. See the Governance programme.
A useful business case, with honest assumptions
Where evidence is available, we can record avoidable time, duplicated work and unnecessary tool spending. An estimate is labelled as an estimate; incident scenarios are kept separate from measured costs. Savings belong to the changes that actually deliver them.
Our illustrative hidden-cost calculator is a conversation starter. Discovery establishes which assumptions, if any, fit your business.
Who it suits
Growing businesses with staff using tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot or Claude, particularly when leadership, operations, HR and IT do not yet share a clear picture. Starting prices depend on scope; larger organisations, specialist requirements and more complex use need a tailored proposal.
